Description
This photograph simulates the AVRO Arrow flying through clouds. I made this image from a picture of a model hanging in the Canadian Heritage Warplane Museum in Hamilton, Ontario. The CF-105 Arrow was a supersonic interceptor jet aircraft designed and built by A.V. Roe Canada (Avro in the 1950s). The Arrow was one of the most advanced aircraft of its era. Though the Arrow was widely praised for its power and beauty, the program was cancelled in February 1959 by the government of Prime Minister John Diefenbaker.
